What Is A Title Insurance Policy

Harvey Said:

Realtors please help!?

We Answered:

Stop calling the escrow office and call the title company. Make sure you have the title officers name that handled your title transaction. Customer Service at the title company should be able to assist you in getting the title report.

More than likely all you would need is the address to the property. You might want to tell the when them transaction closed at this title company. You should be able to find this date on the final HUD closing document.

You might ask this title company if there is a problem.

I hope this has been of some benefit to you, good luck.

"FIGHT ON"

Leslie Said:

I bought a Truck from a Dealer with clean CARFAX but found out there was an accident...what should I do?

We Answered:

Not all accidents will show up on a Carfax report and the dealership is not accountable for anything, nor are they obligated to do anything about your situation. In this case, there is no compensation which you can demand since no one did anything wrong, however you can ask for details on their "Certified Pre-Owned" criteria.

Unless the Nissan has a salvage/rebuilt title, there is nothing you can do besides complain to Carfax. Good luck with your situation.

Can the city water utility put a lien on a property after I purchase the property?

We Answered:

I have no experience with this matter in Texas. However, in Illinois and Florida all the water company can do is turn the issue over to collections and it will hurt the person's credit that the bill in their name.
Any liens after purchase are things you acquired.
