Va Title Insurance

Don Said:

Does this VA streamline refinance offer make sense or seem right?

We Answered:

Origination charge seems way high to me but using the new GFE it includes appraisal, credit report, flood cert, tax service, etc. but still seems too high for that loan amount. Why are you using a broker instead of going directly to the lender? All in all you have to figure that your closing costs also include your first month's mortgage payment to the new lender & most likely 2nd 1/2 taxes for this year that you don't need to worry about. It doesn't sound bad but I would re-consider going through a broker.

How does a title transfer work when buying a car?

We Answered:

See http://www.dmv.state.va.us/webdoc/citize…

It outlines the process.

Also many states will waive the tax when you are transferring from parent to child, so ask about that.

Insurance cost for the following car: 2007 Pontiac G6 GT?

We Answered:

It's absolutely impossible to tell you what your rates would be.

We don't know your age, the area you live in, your driving history, you credit score, your coverage amount etc.

You're wasting your time asking here....people will just guess. You need to get quotes from the actual source, that makes the most sense doesn't it?

Bank has title, Can't register car with DMV They told me the wrong process on how auto loans work?

We Answered:

If they sent it off you'll have to wait the week or so. Which sucks. In the meantime I'd go to the DMV and find out if they can get you a temporary trip permit just so you can drive it legally. If you bought it private party the car might still have good tags with the original registrant on there so it's fine for now but just don't hit and run or the other person will be liable. If you bought the car from a dealership then go talk to them because they should have done all that for you and given you a trip permit.
