Truthfully, this is headache. Unless there is something spectacularly terrific about this car, let the insurance company total it and you can start fresh in Michigan with a different vehicle.

good show brad/you showed them/why you didnt send them a copy of the insurance card is beyond me???? pick your battles is the word/the persons job is to get ins info/they do their job/step two is revoke/take the insurance card to show judge and copy of the continueing policy clearlyshowing that the ins was in effect all the time/dont lie and give the judge some bull-pappy/just say you forgot to forward a copy to mv and before you could straighten it out theyput you on suspension/see if he will dismiss the ticket/tll him you were going to call the mv on mon am to see if you could fax it in but the accident happened before the time

You need to speak with the Police about filing "theft by deception" charge against her. Since she took the money and signed the car over to you, you paid her for something and have proof. If she can get you a title, it will happen fast with a little heat on her. Besides she is an ex, and it will stick in her craw.

Well, you could always call it in as stolen. That would set things in motion.Afterall you have let him know you want your car and if he has not responded, he is operating your vehicle without your authorization. If he is involved in a collision and god forbid there are fatalities, you are the owner and it will come back to ya'. It is the same as if your dog bites someone on your property, it does not matter if you are not home at the time, you are responsible.
Don't play with this person and just report the vehicle stolen.
