I can't answer your specific question, as each state has their own requirements for registering a truck.

Most, if not all, do not allow you to register online, as it is a LOT more complicated than registering a car or pickup truck.

The best thing for you to do is call your state Department of Motor Vehicles and ask them what they require and if you can register online.

Also, as a new owner operator, you need to read by blog. "Owner Operator 411: How to Become an Owner Operator and Make Money in Trucking." There is scads of info about registering, licensing, taxes, bookkeeping and lots more.

You should also join "Owner Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA). It is only $45.00 a year, and they can answer a lot of your questions, and help point you in the right direction. They also have lots and lots of info on their site.

The only person that can legally sell a deceased person vehicle is the executor/executrix of the estate. Despite what so many uninformed people think, You CAN buy insure and title a vehicle without a drivers license. A drivers license is required to drive, Nothing else ! Simply think of all of the people who choose not to or cannot obtain a drivers license; the elderly, the disabled and the wealthy who buy, title, license and insure a vehicle so that others can chauffeur them around.
