If the date of sale is not on the title now, you may want to date it based on the requirement that the title be applied for within 10 days.


EDIT do not white out the title, that will cause more problems. Pay whatever penalty they charge for late title transfer on the one, and date the other two in time

Once your repairs are complete, you will need to have the vehicle reinspected and reregistered to be sure it is safe to be on the road. (Salvage inspection.) If the insurance company took the title to have it retitled as salvage, they will return it to you. (Unlikely as most companies notify the RMV so you can take care of this.)
