Title Insurance License

Lois Said:

can you transfer a car title to somebody who doesn't have a license or proof of insurance?

We Answered:

yes you can,all you have to do is sign off on the back of it,your not really responsible for seeing that they have insurance,or a license,if they want to buy it that's up to them,it does pay though to at least make sure they are old enough to drive and have a license you could possibly be sued over doing something like this,i haven't ever heard of it happening, but sooner or later it will, good luck with it.

Herman Said:

if i get pulled over by the police with no registration no title insurance nothing but my drivers license?

We Answered:

Since the car would not be legal for use on the road, and you couldn't prove ownership, they would issue you a ticket for no registration and no insurance. They couldn't just leave the car sit, and they wouldn't let you drive it, so they would call a tow truck and have it impounded. They could arrest you, but would probably just tell you to leave, on foot after you signed a promise to appear on the tickets.

To get it out of impound you would have to show proof of ownership, current registration, and current insurance.

We Answered:

Try here; it took Google about 2 seconds to find it.

There may be other fees, taxes, etc. that don't show here; you'll have to dig to find them.

How To Get Insurance Before A License?

We Answered:

Everyone does it. You don't even need a car to get insurance. Just go to an insurance company and always bargain with them. Insult them with a ridiculously low price then bargain
