Title Insurance License Florida

Sean Said:

In Florida how long do the parties in a divorce have to transfer deeds and titles after it becomes final.?

We Answered:

Florida is an "equitable distribution" state, Equitable does not mean equal, but rather what is fair. The court will encourage the parties to reach a settlement on property and debt issues otherwise the court will declare the property award.

so if you did not reach a settlement together.. It might take a real long time.. between 60 days up to years , ..

good luck and have a great day ..

Raymond Said:

In the military, if I buy a motorcycle do I register it in the state I buy it, where I'm stationed, or live?

We Answered:

You can register wherever is more convenient for you. Then once registered with the DMV you have to register it with the base, as well as letting your chain of command know you want to buy a bike, before you purchase one. They should offer you help getting to both the Basic Riders Course as well as the Experienced Riders Course about 120 days later. If you are interested in a sports bike, there will be a third course to take the Sports bike course offered by folks affiliated with Keith Code. They are all good courses, and who wouldn't enjoy getting time off to go ride a motorcycle? Sounds like a good scam.

Alex Said:

How do I get my car transferred in my name after a divorce? I have no license.?

We Answered:

I've never heard of a law that says in order to own a car, you must also have a drivers license. many people own cars and do not have drivers licenses.
You may need insurance to own it. To drive it you need a license but not merely to own it.

Brenda Said:

Driving insurance that is not mine?

We Answered:

If you are a teenager, your father has an obligation to inform the insurance company once you get your license and start driving. His insurance rates will go up because you are considered high risk.

I'm not sure what the age cutoff is for this, but your father should either read the policy or talk to an agent/rep to clarify this - none of us here on YA knows the specifics to give you a definite answer
