What's the job title you can get after you major or get your degree in RISK MANAGEMENT AND INSURANCE?

We Answered:

You can be a risk manager, probably pays maybe $45-50 thousand a year to start, and it is a pretty well paying field. However you have to be a mean nasty person to be a risk manager. They are some of the nastiest people I have ever had to deal with. Good luck to you.

What is a job title for an entry-level HR job?

We Answered:

Each company may have different terminology for their positions, also depending on the structure of the company the HR department may be broken down into specialty areas. Some titles that you may want to look for are:
HR Assistant, Associate or Coordinator.
Benefits Assistant
Junior HR Associate
Recruiting (Staffing) Assistant

I would recommend reviewing each of the job descriptions prior to applying.

Insurance Job Title Question?

We Answered:

I think you will find the difference between servicing existing accounts and being a PL account executive are significant.

Servicing existing accounts usually is a salaried position. It is a flat salary paid based, one way or another, on the size of the book of business you service. It is usually a steady occupation with steady compensation (assuming you know what you are doing).

An account executive, on the other hand, is producing new business. The position will have greater expectations likely with long and short term sales goals. You will have a greater opportunity to affect your compensation if you reach predetermined goals because you will likely be paid some combination of salary and commission split.

It is not an inflated title, the duties, responsibilities and expectations make the two jobs totally different.

How can I get a job in the Title insurance business?

We Answered:

I work for a title insurance company. I went through a temporary agency who was handling their staffing at the time. You could always submit resumes to First American Title Insurance Company, Stewart Title, LandAmerica Financial Group. But with the mortgage industry suffering, we have been slow. Good luck!
