because the BROKER knows how much money you are cashing out
they are trying to get their piece of the pie.
if that broker cannot do your loan for less than 2% take your business
elsewhere.
as a matter of fact, i am assuming you are already pre-approved
if your credit score is higher than 620 go to your local bank
and you will probably end up paying around 2% of your total loan
do not let that broker take advantage of you
remember this, you are in control

yep - doesn't seem fair, but, that's the way it works! You are obeying the law, paying for YOUR insurance and the other guy WITHOUT insurance gets to "reap the benefits."

Just wait for a few more months as there will be an elctronic verification system where drivers will not be able to be on the road and have fake ID Cards any longer as the "database" will be the ruking authority on the verification of liability. Should be on-line and testing starting in Austin area in late February or early March....been a LONG TIME coming!

This might not be the case in OTHER States, but, that's the way it works in Texas.

In most cases where you hit someone from the rear, YOU are at fault. In some rare instances where someone pulled out in front of you or made an improper lane change without enough clearance, there may be some contributory negligence - but that is NOT the norm.
