Margaret Said:

My life is falling to pieces, I don't know what to do?

We Answered:

Baby girl, you have the world of problems on your shoulders and I am sorry about that. I wish I could give you some kind of solution, but I can't.
This doesn't say what city you live in or how old you are, but please encourage your mom to get counseling and or find a domestic violence place to flee to. It sounds like it has been pretty tough on you. Do you talk to your mom about your feelings? I bet she has pretty similar feelings, but doesn't want you to know about them...just as you don't want to hurt your mom with your feelings?
Google your town name and domestic violence and you should be able to find a name of a place to give your mom so she can inquire about getting help. Your dad is emotionally abusing both of you and you need to find a safe place where he can't find you.
Here's a number for a national hotline. Give this to your mom.
1?800?799?SAFE(7233)
They can help you find a safe place and or guide the police to take action if he is physically harming you or continually hurting your mom.

Going to a shelter or safe house may be scary, but it is a safe place. They can help you with food and helping your mom find a job and counseling and helping her get on her feet and eventually perhaps finding a new home.

Google your state medicaid program and find out how to apply to get food stamps (like a grocery store credit card you don't have to pay for) and health insurance to help your mom. Hopefully, together, you can support her in getting the strength to get out of this relationship and help herself.

You are such a brave, special girl. Keep up your chin. I hope things get better.
