Minnesota Title Insurance

Gregory Said:

Where can I get car insurance on saturday in minnesota?

We Answered:

Geico or another online insurance company will sell it to you and let you print out the info. Probably even tonight. By the way, you will most likely lose your license now for ninety days or so. In Indiana you would anyway for not having insurance when you were ticketed. Good luck.

Frank Said:

Sold a car they didn't switch title ?

We Answered:

Not a problem. Just call the department of motor vehicles office that you notified when you sold the car, and get that copy from them and send a copy to the insurance.

If you neglected to notify the state, and have no bill of sale showing you sold the vehicle, you will probably be stuck paying the damages since without that it remained your car and your responsibility.

No insurance ticket question for Minnesota?

You can compare how the insurance quotes would change, for example here - autoinsurance.noneto.com

Javier Said:

If a car with a salvage title passes inspection in one state, will it be drivable/insurable in all states?

We Answered:

I suspect that once the title has been "cleaned", its good in every state.

That doesn't mean you can sell it and not tell the buyer, you must, regardless of what the title says.

Your car is whats called a "previous salvage". A salvage car could not be registered or insured in my state until a licensed re builder repaired it and had the state inspect it. Not any kind of safety inspection, just checking to make sure it has all doors & stuff.

Ella Said:

how do you buy a car from a private seller in iowa?

We Answered:

You will need to get a bill of sale and them sign the title over to you. To drive the car back, you will need to have your insurance company fax you proof of insurance before you get on the road. If you can, you can give them the VIN in advance and have them send it and have coverage to start the date of purchase. Take the title and bill of sale to your local DMV to pay taxes and get the car registered. They will also process the tile to send you a title in your name. Be sure to run a Carfax report on the car before you buy. Also test drive it.

Todd Said:

Am I able to drive my -just bought- car without insurance?

We Answered:

Um, if you hit somebody, your fault, and don't have insurance, who do you think pays?
If your car is vandalized or stolen, who do you think pays?

Give your head a shake. Even if the law allowed it (it doesn't), why would you take that risk? It can put you into bankruptcy!
