Deanna Said:

What are the penalties for letting someone with a suspended driver licenses drive my car?

We Answered:

1. If the car is titled in your name, then they don't have coverage under their own policy. They can only insure a car they own. They can't insure your car, you can't insure my car. If YOU have a policy, and they are listed as a driver on your policy, the policy will pay. If you DON'T list them, it might pay, IF IF IF they are not a regular user of the car (more than once a month), AND they don't live with you, AND your policy isn't written on a "named driver only" basis.

2. Nothing would happen to your rates, because your policy wouldn't pay out. YOU would be paying the damages out of pocket, and your insurance will be cancelling you, for letting unlicensed people drive.

3. The car would be impounded, because THEIR "full coverage" doesn't carry over to your car, and, they are unlicensed.

Felix Said:

I got a car title loan, not from a bank but one of those "car title" places and couldn't make my 1st payment.?

We Answered:

You need to hide the car until you make the payment on Friday. Don't let it sit in front of your house (or down the block, etc) or outside of your work place, as I'm sure they know where to look. Don't leave it outside of anyone's home that they can trace to you, friends, family, etc. If you know someone with a garage they will let you use for a few days, leave it there, and get rides for the rest of the week. If there is any way they can take it, they will. Protect yourself and your property until you pay off the loan. Good luck to you :)

Mom died-willed house to kids (not on title). 30k due on 100k property. Can bank 4close if payments r timely?

We Answered:

First, speak to a lawyer. It's important to know the laws specific to your state, and some of your questions are specific legal questions.

In my experience, banks never foreclosure when the mortgage is being paid on time. It just doesn't happen. But, do NOT ignore their attempts to contact you. Return their calls and work with them. They don't want another foreclosure on their books, but if they don't hear from you, they will take action.

Do give the insurance company a call. You may have to update the policy with your names, but it shouldn't be a problem.

Best of luck to your family.

Mae Said:

What will i need to do when i buy a car with a salvage title?

We Answered:

generally they do not salvage cars for just bumper damage, and typically the price drop is 50 percent of low book this means a 10000 dollar car someone should pay no more than 5grand. I will not buy a salvage car, you have no idea why it was salvaged, there are questions on yahoo answers every week about them, people who do this for a living lie like hell and will say ANYTHING, to get you to buy the car, why you ask, because I would not pay 500 bucks for a salvage car, and there are many many people like me, these guys have a hard time selling them, they have to find suckers to buy them, (someone not familiar with how salvage titles work) that car could have two damaged bumpers sure, WHILE IT WAS UNDERWATER IN A FRIGGING FLOOD!!!!!!!!!!!! SO ARE YOU GETTING THE PICTURE??????
Insurance companies for the most part, will use the vin, you don't tell them its salvage? they already know, and whats worse, they will happily take their greedy premium every month for full coverage, because they are making money. BUT IF SOMEONE TOTALS YOUR TOTALED CAR, GUESS WHAT? SOME INSURANCE COMPANIES DON'T PAY OFF ON TOTALED CARS. some will give you liability only, some may not insure it at all. then, what if you want to sell it, or trade it in? you have to work hard as hell to sell it because few people will take a chance, and fewer dealers will give you more than a few hundred bucks as a trade, the good dealers don't want it. I would not buy a car from a dealer who bought salvage cars. do what you think is best, at the very least, take it to your mechanic for a detailed and very through inspection. that car could have been cut in half, and re-welded to the other half of another car, you never know, and no one who does those cars, will tell you the truth, if you think about it, you probably caught him in one or two lies already!!!???? good luck
