Use the insurance to fix the car, and then sell it like it never happened. Anyone purchasing a car from a private seller should know that it is a buyer beware type of sale. If they do a carfax report on the vehicle they may find out about the damage, but don't offer it up without them asking you about it. If they decide not to buy, don't worry, someone else less thorough will take it off your hands. Don't be intentionally deceitful, just don't offer up any unsolicited facts about the car.
