First Title Insurance

Jon Said:

Does the title of a car have to be notarized first before you get insurance?

We Answered:

i have insurance but none of my titles have been notarized

Geraldine Said:

what do i do first, title or insurance?

We Answered:

all you need is the registration in order to get insurance, you can get the title anytime

Charlene Said:

What comes first....Title or Insurance?

We Answered:

You need to inform your insurance company that you are looking for another car, and what make and models you are thinking of. They will even give you advise on which models are cheaper to insure. Then they will be on "standby", and when you have made the deal for a car and had it approved, you phone your agent and he will cut a temporary insurance paper that will cover the car until your permanent one comes in the mail.

So I guess it would be Title, Insurance, Registration and Licensiing.

Gordon Said:

I want to put the car insurance under my dad, but the title is under my name. Is it possible?

We Answered:

Normally, whoever is the registered owner of an automobile has to be the first named insured on an insurance policy. There is an insurance that you can get through an agent called non-owners insurance, but a reputable company will require the first named insured to be the registered owner.

Joan Said:

is my first time I buy a house and I want to know if I need a title insurance for the clousing?

We Answered:

Your mortgage company will insist on a clear title and it makes sense for you to get it--it protects you if someone comes out of the woodwork claiming ownership or a lien on your house after you buy it. title insurance assures you that the title is clean or they will be responsible for damages if it turns out it's not.
