I have worked in pit bull rescue for several years now and I haven't had to put a single dog down to human aggression. They are sweet, smart, loving animals that the media misrepresents as a monster. News casters will report dog bites or attacks as pit bulls when most of the time they are not.

I do think that their should be restrictions on who can own them. My pit is a very active girl that needs a lot of attention. I have to run her for at least an hour a day and we work on training almost all of the time (she recently learned how to turn on the light on command). These dogs need to be stimulated physically and mentally and can be a bit destructive if they are not (as a puppy she pulled all of the rose bushes out of my back yard while I was on vacation)
