Sometimes, a tubal ligation will reverse itself, but this is not common. Reversal surgery *is* very expensive. The exact price, as well as the likelihood of success depends on a number of factors, including how the original surgery was done, how it healed, and how long it's been since you had it done. The only way to know for sure is to consult a doctor--preferably a specialist. That first visit is not likely to be very expensive, and it will give you important information. Even if you don't think you can afford the surgery, it may be worthwhile to investigate it this way.

If you have either a spontaneous or surgical reversal, you have an increased risk of a tubal pregnancy. If you ever think you may be pregnant, see a doctor quickly. A tubal pregnancy can be treated if caught early, but it can become life-threatening if not detected. It can show up as negative on all pregnancy tests (both home and professional tests). If you have in vitro, you will be avoiding the risk of a tubal pregnancy.

You didn't say where you live. If it is in the northern part of the US, it may be cheaper for you to go to Canada to have treatment. You might want to investigate this possibility, as well.
