WOW! You are fustrated! I would be too. Do you think that you need to work all the time? Can you take less stress off of you and down size your living? This will help very much. Your husband is only going to get involved when he is ready. Why should he have too when you do all the work? Get my point? Maybe he feels just fine where he is at because you do it all. If you act like you can do it all, he will let you. Humble yourself and say you need help now because your getting tired. People do get tired :) If your house is falling apart can you move and down grade to a more affordable place so you don't have to work so much? Maybe your a better worker than he is? There is nothing wrong with that it's just he needs to do his part. The thing is you probably expect him to work as hard as you do and you are not seeing that and that makes you fustrated, very fustrated. Don't expect him to do that right away, he has had it good for a while :) Just remember, why should he have to work hard when you are doing it for him.

The current liquidity "crunch" (as you put it) last week was due to international investors expressing their concern over the role of domestic banks in the sub-prime loan. The expression of their concern was to divest themselves of the banking sector and either staying on the sidelines for a bit, or to invest elsewhere.
