Flood Guide for Lenders & Servicers, 1998, 102 pp., $29.95 (Reduced!) plus $4.50 S&H.

The Guide provides general information on the history of flood insurance, the differences between flood and hazard insurance, the National Flood Insurance Program, the role of the private sector in flood insurance provision, flood zones, changes in flood insurance brought about by the National Flood Insurance Reform Act of 1994, borrower fees, notification, and unique problems and special cases. The Guide makes an excellent training tool in any lending/servicing shop.

NLIC's Quarterly Newsletter

The NLIC October newsletter will be available shortly. For a limited time only, the newsletter will be available to all NLIC site visitors for review. Published in January, April, July and October, the publication can be subscribed to by non-NLIC members for $35 per year. NLIC's newsletters contain up-to-date information about flood conferences, disaster statistics or legislation, legal reviews and opinions, tips on insurance availability or application, and interesting articles related to floods, hurricanes, and earthquakes. Back issues are available for $2 per copy, and subscriptions can be ordered by sending your check to the NLIC mailing address.

Educational Seminars or Events

Upon request, members of NLIC are available to offer educational seminars at a lender/servicer location or an advisory council setting or to travel to events to explain our mission and goals. We've held several mini-seminars since the Council became incorporated. Our officers have participated in legal briefings, government committees, and other meetings which have been opportunities to represent the lending and servicing industry.
