Unless you use a vendor like Paypal, there is no payment protection insurance. I'm not aware of any industry wide issues. Many, many people could have OTHER issues - like being blind and not being able to read the contract. But that's PERSONAL, and not an industry issue. If you don't know how it affects you, then it doesn't. It probably doesn't effect you, either.

I work for HSBC and can tell you that if it is sickness you are claiming for then it is until the end of the loan or until you can go back to work if it is unemployment then it is for up to 12 months or again until you find another job. Hope this is of help, I have dealt with PPI so I know this is 100% correct.
