People here care more about sports than just about anything. I have come to the conclussion that must be all they really have. Yes I as well have a business that caters to the sports industry. God forbid the Sports bandwagon of Cleveland interferes with your life. They are all over the sports but God help them...When one of the Cleveland teams lose they never mention the loss. They live and die by how the team of the season is doing. Curse or no curse who cares.
Suburbanites will tell you Cleveland Rocks but they refuse to live there. They live in Solon or Westlake but never Cleveland.
I saw a youtube video about Asteve Thomas. It is so sad to see the distruction hey but Ohio State is going to a BSU title game, the Indians are in the Playoffs, the Browns have improved to win more games then the Bengals and well as long as Cleveland has Lebron they will win. my brother was very ill (hospice) and in order to get medicaid he had to agree to sign over his trailer and possessions after his death to the government. He didn't want to do this and somehow he got on other govt programs to assist him, but he didn't need surgery.

Call the American Cancer Society and see what programs that they might have or know about to help pay the bills. Also ask them about support groups for cancer patients and their families.

his best bet would just find the state website for where he lives, look up the dept of public health & apply. odds are, the student loans are in the names of his children, not his, therefore not a debt that is legally his own. his children are in college and may not be considered his responsibility in a legal aspect. not sure if he could claim them as dependents, depends on the ages. he will run into lots of rudeness and people who will try to tell him he doesnt qualify before filling out the paperwork. ignore them and file anyway! many people get annoyed and frustrated and give up rights that they are entitled to. it can go one way or the other , i would just apply and hope for the best. put down everything you can think of to offset any assets. if he has to, sell something to cover the cost of some of the bills. wish i could be of more help.
