Like my name says, Liberals are delusional. As we type, insurance companies are sending out letters of rate hikes, coverage changes and possible insurances being dropped altogether in preparation of the employment of Obama Care.

It makes me want to work harder so I am never eligible for those government programs, call me selfish but I believe if you want something, then you work to get it. The government will give you what they can take from you later

Well which would you rather pay, your mortgage or your health insurance? I don't know about you but I'd rather have a place to live, than to try to stay healthy, be homeless, and get sick anyway. It's not that the cost of housing is high, health insurance is just one of the last things to be paid and is optional. People just hope they don't get sick.

We Answered:

Individual Health Insurance will vary depending on your location. I would suggest calling a couple of brokers in your area as they have better awareness of your local market conditions.

Also, you will want to really focus into the maternity issue. A lot of individual carriers wont cover maternity and if they do, they normally apply benefit waiting periods of 1 or 2 years or higher cost sharing.

Another good resource would be www.ehealthinsurance.com. They address the maternity issue on all their quotes and have a good pool of national carriers on thier side.

It surprises me that so many Americans seem not to be aware about Obama’s healthcare plans [a]. During the election, he campaigned for these changes stating that he felt it was unfair to have a system where insurance companies try to escape paying claims and was elected to bring in changes [b].
First of all, too many people do not know that Obama wants to make insurance more available to all. His system is similar to that which works in Holland, Taiwan [c] and Switzerland. It works there and private healthcare companies provide most the insurance to the people there.
FACT - the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet [d].
FACT – insurance companies admit that they push up costs, buy politicians and do not pay out for many claims when they should [e].
FACT - the US has higher death rates for kids aged under five than western European countries with universal health coverage [f].

That means that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in Canada, France, the Netherlands, Cuba, Switzerland, Germany, Japan etc, all of which have universal health coverage. And no western European nation with universal healthcare has moved away from it. And the sad thing is, that the insurance companies have spent loads of money to fight these reforms [g] and loads of politicians are taking the thirty pieces of silver from them to fight the reforms, rather than fight for the health of the American people.

Don't think you'lll find too many grants out there!

You didn't specify WHY you are out of work - was it for company lay-offs? Are you eligible for unemployment benefits? Did you quit? Do you have the ability to go to work somewhere else? What type of work do you do or CAN you do?

There are a LOT of jobs out there! Hit the streets and go back to work!
