FYI, there is no way for the credit bureaus to know if you were denied. All they show is the PULLS for the reports, not whether you are approved or denied.

It sounds to me like "moon lighting". When you were hired, did you sign anything telling you that you were not allowed to pick up a second job in a similar field?
I would not outright ask your employer for advice, but there is nothing they can do to prevent you from doing this in CT. I don't know where you live.

That's the risk of being in second position; if the senior lien defaults, you lose. You will never see it unless you want to pursue a court case. Hire a good attorney, get your paperwork in order and maybe you can win that way. Now collecting is a different matter.

Tell your boss. There is a reason for having a closing auditor, as you already know. Your co-worker may just be acting like a horse's behind, but something more shady could be going on as well.
