The two most important factors are the interest rate and prepayment penalties. The interest rate will determine how much you'll actually pay for the loan, and a prepayment penalty will take a chunk out of the equity if you decide to sell before the loan's paid off.

Another factor is closing costs, but is not that big of a deal since most lenders offer no closing costs now-a-days.

Well the internet is always a good source. What you want to do is attend free seminars on Real Estate and lending. Not supposing that you're going to be a lender, but sooner than later, you begin to see behind the tactics they use to fool you. We as agents have a duty to tell our clients the truth. So we do. But we blame a lender as much as the client when something doesn't go our way. We learn about these scams and just stay away from them. So were always ono our toes too. Be Careful
