More mileage does affect rates, usually it tiers. For my company, 4,000 or less is the best, then 5,000-18,000, then 20,000-25,000, etc.
Frankly, I wouldn't worry about the mileage issue unless they ask.
You get a discount when your policy renews and you're over 25. Exactly how much varies from company to company.
