Sally Said:

(UK only) Young driver insurance?

We Answered:

As far as I am aware, none will - bike insurance and car insurance are completely separate, so any experience on the other will be irrelevant.

Jesse Said:

Where can I get a fair priced car insurance for a first time driver at the age of 17 and Male?

We Answered:

No matter how good you are or think you are you will have to pay the going rate for everyone in similar circumstances as you for that car. Far too late to get insurance money off someone after they have done some damage. that has never been done and never will be no matter how you think.
Fact is one in 4 of teen drivers will make a claim, if they are still alive, in the first 12 months. This could be for many more times the £2700 if they take out other cars, proalmostlives and cause injury. One of then does all or part of this almosst every single day in the UK.

I am 48 and if they wanted £3000 for me to insure a little car now, even though I could afford it I would not do. At your age myself and most mates had small motorbikes to get to work and college on. The very few that had cars were skint all the time and could not afford to go out with the rest of us and have some fun. Do yourself a favour and by all means pass your test but forget about car ownership for a few years. 7 out of 10 teenagers do not have cars so its not like you won't be with the majority.

If you really have to get one a 1.4 is a bad idea, smaller engine, less to insure and get on the phone and haggle as the internet will rarely get you the best price.

Just because the law says you can have a full licence at 17 it does not mean you have to and it does not mean you have any right to expect to be able to afford to have a car.

Which US auto insurance company gives the best rates to UK licence holders?

Insurance, driving any vehicle (age 19). UK ?

We Answered:

They may have just changed their policies. A lot of insurers have either done away with the automatic 3rd party or are putting limits on it. It's to stop people insuring cheap cars and then driving around in huge Mercs and the like for no extra cost.

Luis Said:

where should we buy tickets for parks In UK from travel agent, online or when we get there?

We Answered:

If you have upgraded to premium insurance then the CDW is included anyway so don't worry about that.

You shouldn't have to pay anything extra when you get there except for a tank of fuel (they don't rip you off for this so take it - then you can bring the car back empty). Don't pay to upgrade either as you will get a perfectly adequate 4 door saloon (mondeo size) anyway. If you want any extra drivers you usually have to pay for that too (expensive) so consider only having one person drive.

Park tickets : If you are on a 2 week holiday I would recommend 5 to 7 days at Disney and 2 days at Universal. This prevents theme park fatigue setting in and gives you plenty of pool and shopping time.

Disney wants all of your money so they offer a 14 day ticket for only £20 more than the 7 day ticket through UK brokers.

If you buy your tickets when you turn up at the park you can get a 7 day one park per day ticket for $220 (£169 at today's exchange rate) which might be better for you. You could then get a 3 day for the price of 2 ticket for Universal in advance from a broker or direct from Universal's website.

Weather in April should be pretty perfect. Not too hot and humid. You will need a good sunscreen though and a sunhat - and comfortable shoes as there is a lot of walking in the parks.

Have a great time... If you want to know about restaurants near your villa subdivision or about shopping or anything really - post another questions

Car insurance first time driver?

We Answered:

I CAN'T TELL YOU WERE TO GO FOR GOOD INSURANCE, BUT IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST TIME HAVING CAR INSURANCE ITS OK TO EXAGGERATE A LITTLE.

1) SAY YOU WILL NOT BE DRIVING YOUR CAR ANY FURTHER THAT 6 MILES.
2) NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY YOUR CAR HAS A CAR ALARM ON IT AND LOCKS AUTOMATICALLY .
3) PEOPLE THAT LIVE IN A CITY USUALLY HAVE HIGHER PREMIUMS THAN PEOPLE THAT LIVE IN SUBURBS.
4) ALWAYS SAY YOU'VE NEVER BEEN IN A CAR ACCIDENT.
5) NEVER SAY YOU'VE HAD YOUR LICENSE SUSPENDED.
6) SAY YOUR CAR IS GARAGED OR FENCED IN NOT PARKED ON THE STREET.
7) AFTER THE FIRST TERM OF YOUR AUTO INSURANCE YOUR PREMIUM WILL GO DOWN.
8) 4 DOORS ARE CHEAPER THAN COUPES.
9) SAY YOUR THE ONLY ONE DRIVING THE CAR.
10) THE OLDER THE CAR THE LOWER THE INSURANCE RATE.

RED CARS HAVE HIGHER INSURANCE PREMIUMS, BECAUSE THEY GET HIT THE MOST.
