Wanda Said:

How long does one have to have stopped smoking to see a significant drop in life insurance premiums?

We Answered:

Usually its 12 months.

Willie Said:

Should my 90-year-old father continue to pay whole life insurance premiums?

We Answered:

Under no circumstances should he cash out. If he doesn't need the cash, the death benefits would maximize the proceeds to his heirs (or the designated beneficiaries) and be distributed tax-free. If he does need money, at his age he can receive a life settlement of probably five or more times the current cash value; even more if he has health issues which may further decrease his life expectancy.

If he's simply tired of paying premiums into the policies, at this point he can probably stop paying them without any significant effect on the policy's viability. His agent or the companies can provide inforce illustrations to show this.

Cindy Said:

Have the term life insurance premiums have been reduced drastically for HNIs with no specified diseases?

Yes. to certain extent.
Not too much difference.

Evelyn Said:

Can i deduct my life insurance premiums paid? If so where do they go on schedule A?

We Answered:

No, you cannot for life insurance. You can only deduct medical insurance and Long Term Care Insurance, and you deduct those with other medical expenses. And since you only get medical expenses that exceed 7.5% of your gross income, most people can't take those either.

Kay Said:

Can a corporation deduct life insurance premiums on which it is the beneficiary?

We Answered:

Yes, if they are paying those premiums to protect their investment in that employee.

Brenda Said:

Is it wise to have Life Insurance Premiums deducted from my superannuation contributions?

We Answered:

Speak with your local agent.

Generally and maybe not in your case, it is a good idea to have deposits deducted. No missing of a payment, usually.
