Help With Math Please!??

We Answered:

I am not sure what the first question is really asking but...

percentage increase: find the $ increase and then divide by the original amount

ie. (737 - 431)/431 = 0.71 = 71% approximately

the second one:

Total purchase = 2 x 45 = 90
Sales tax = 90 x 0.06 =5.40
total cost = 90 + 5.40 = 95.40

The third one:

Commission = 44 000 x 0.05
= 2 200
