And this surprises people?? I kept pointing out to people during the election that countries who have universal healthcare pay income taxes in excess of 50%, and asked them how Obama and the Dems were going to pay for this idea without taxing us to death? The answer I typically got was "he'll come up with something that won't cost us" or "I'm willing to pay A LITTLE more to make sure everyone has insurance." Well, as expected, this program would cost us A LOT more. None of his supporters that I know asked the questions of how these programs would be paid for...they just kept chanting, "we want change." Well folks, be careful what you ask for...you may not like what that change is going to cost each and every one of us.
