My wife and I are both on disability pensions and reach the SafetyNet on prescriptions by Anzac Day each year. Where would we be on our $12,000/ year with close on weekly visits to the doctor and our many scripts per year and no superannuation to fall back on. We are battling now with the increase in electricity, food, fuel etc. Because of the limited public transport and the cost of a taxi our car is basically a necessity to get to our doctor and even basically need our car to do the shopping.

I guess their answer to replace Medicare would have to be to put down all the ill people who can't afford to live.
