UK answers only please...........I'm looking for winter sports (ski) travel insurance..?

We Answered:

Squaremouth is a comparison site that lets you choose not only winter ports but which particular activity you want to do and then only shows you products that cover it.

It's a good feature if you want to make sure the policy covers you correctly.

Would i be able to afford this?

We Answered:

You say you want to get your nursing license - but are you in nursing school already? Because if not then you have at least a year of prerequisite classes and then another 2 years of nursing school for just an RN - IF you can get into a program right away, which is difficult b/c the wait time is crazy.

Don't count your chickens before they are hatched. Figure out what you can afford to do for now, and then do that. When you have the $$ later, whether that is in 2 years or 5 years or whatever, then do what you want with that $$.

I would highly recommend buying yourself a nice used car that you can drive all year round for now. I finished nursing school (I got my BSN) with $50K in student loans to pay back. You don't want to saddle on extra debt right now!

Cheapest way to get Car Insurance for a 19 year old male, in Ontario?

We Answered:

"My question is, can I claim that my dad is really the owner of the Porsche (or other car) and say that I am a temporary driver, and then have me drive it all the time and take it back and forth to school, etc, knowing my parents together already have 2 vehicles and 1 summer vehicle"

Can you do this? Sure, you can do anything you want, it's a free country. However the insurance won't be worth the paper it's written on. First trying to find an insurer who's going to allow this is going to be difficult. On the appliaction it will ask how many vehicles are in the household and how many drivers there are. When they see there are 5 vehicles (including the one you're giong to buy) for 4 drivers they are not going to accept that you are not the principal driver of one of the vehicles. Even if you were to find an insurer to accept this (mostly by lying), if there is an accident the insurer will investigate the accident with a fine tooth comb. When they find out you are the actual principal driver (and they will, it's not difficult) they will deny the claim, then you and your father will be financially responsible for eveyones damages and injuries. This means you can potentially bankrupt your family, lose the family home and be in debt for the rest of your life and your parent's life trying to pay off any judgement awarded against you and them. So ask yourself if you're perpared to ruin your financial future and your parent's financial future just so you can buy an impractical car which which you'll probably end up racking up speeding tickets in?

Thinking about a scooter in Arizona..?

We Answered:

Legally a motorcycle *is* a scooter -- no difference. (But they are cheaper in insurance cost.)

Some *claim* small wheels are less dangerous, but not in accident statistics. You want a 17" wheels you can get a SYM Symba -- Taiwan clone of a 1960's Honda. The scooter I have been thinking of is the Piaggio Fly 150 -- Italian, many decades.

A scooter is usable as your full time vehicle. You will need a rain suit, and riding in the rain is slippier -- as a car! -- but not safe if you slow.

Discuss It!
