Which Insurance Covers Ivf

Ian Said:

where can I get a donation for IVF in Virginia?

We Answered:

I don't suppose you might be willing to move? There are 15 states that currently mandate some level of insurance coverage for fertility treatments. You can check out the Resolve website for more info - I live in MA and my insurance covered my treatments with only co-pays.

If you cannot find insurance coverage - this might help:

1) Start with the RE - most doctors have a team that can help you with finding ways to pay for your treatment - they are amazing at figuring out your insurance benefits, coming up payment plans and may even be able to recommend medical studies / clinical trials that you may be able to participate in.

2) Grants -there are groups out there that fund raise for fertility treatments - you need to apply and cross your fingers. See the link that I included below as it has some info on non-profit groups and grants that might be able to help.

3) Loans - banks and credit card companies (my friend used Capital One) offer fertility loans with fair interest rates and payment plans. Maybe see if you can borrow from a family member.

Here is a great link for you about all types of funding for fertility treatments:

Is there any health insurance which covers infertility treatments?

We Answered:

Kaiser does.

Pedro Said:

My insurance covers $10,000 for IVF. we also r using a in network doc which is supposed to cost less.?

We Answered:

You will need to talk to the clinic . . . but from my experience $10,000 will cover one cycle if you are lucky . . . sometimes with medications, ultrasounds, blood work etc . . . it can be a bit more.

I would talk to someone at the clinic - there is usually someone who specializes in helping people figure out how to pay for their treatments, can go over insurance and more.

Be thankful for the $10,000 - only 15 states mandate any insurance coverage for infertility at all . . . and some of them won't even cover IVF. Every little bit helps!

Good luck and loads of baby dust to you!

Is there is any health insurance which completely cover the IVF/ ICSI?

We Answered:

Theres a new law in the state of New Jersey, and every insurance company has to cover IVF, I dont know exactly what is covered, But I do know that they have to cover at least 4 egg retrievals. Sorry I cant give more info, but Google infertility laws in NJ, I found a lot of helpful info about getting my Clomid covered. Best of luck!
