Uk Car Insurance Quotes

Car insurance...? (UK)?

You just need to let your insurance know, and they will adjust your premium to take in to account the extra mileage. You will not get in to trouble for it.

Insurers don't usually question the mileage when you apply for insurance, and will just issue the policy based on whatever you tell them, but if you make a claim, they may ask to see your current M.O.T. certificate. That shows your mileage on it, and by working out when your M.O.T test was, and how long you have been driving for since your M.O.T, they can work out what your mileage should be. If it is a lot more than you told them, they can treat it as withholding material information and void your policy.

Personally, I don't see the point in using mileage as a rating factor, as whilst someone driving a high mileage is more likely to claim, they are also going to build up more driving experience and confidence.
