Travel Insurance To Cover Pregnancy

Traveling Insurance Pregnant (8th Month)

We Answered:

I'm not sure about traveling insurace. I would imagine you should call your provider.

I'm 33 weeks and just got back from a 10 hour car trip last night and it was tough. I made up a bed (camping pad and sleeping bag, 4 pillows) in the back of the car and I slept there when I got too uncomfortable. While sitting in the seat, I sat with my legs crossed, which helped my back some. Also drink lots of water, you'll be stopping anwyway with your bladder, so that covers the walking.

On the first leg of my trip I stopped every hour and I wasn't in as much pain as by the end as yesterday when we stopped every 2-3 hours for the return trip. I'm still recovering today from this trip, my back is killing me.

Also, make sure you have medical forms on you in case you have any problems on the road/ out of town.
Good luck.

Provide charges on medical bills that would incur on pregnancy from 3 trimester to child birth in Toronto?

We Answered:

I know that there was $600 dollars charged to my health plan over and above what OHIP covered. Your best bet would be to contact the hospital and talk to someone in the billing department. The fees will vary greatly depending on whether you have a natural pregnancy or c-section, if the baby is healthy or needs care, how well Mommy does, what kinds of drugs are used, etc...

Born Again Christians, I need some advice please?

We Answered:

No, Do Not Go, The question then remains – is there ever a time when lying is the right thing to do? The most common illustration of this dilemma comes from the life of Corrie ten Boom in Nazi Germany. Essentially the story is this: Corrie ten Boom is hiding Jews in her home to protect them from the Nazis. Nazi soldiers come to her home and ask her if she knows where any Jews are hiding. What is she to do? Should she tell the truth and allow the Nazis to capture the Jews she was trying to protect? Or, should she lie and deny that she knows anything about them?

In an instance such as this, where lying may be the only possible way to prevent a horrible evil, perhaps lying would be an acceptable thing to do. Such an instance would be somewhat similar to the lies of the Hebrew midwives and Rahab. In an evil world, and in a desperate situation, it may be the right thing to do to commit a lesser evil, lying, in order to prevent a much greater evil. However, it must be noted that such instances are extremely rare. It is highly likely that the vast majority of people in human history have never faced a situation in which lying was the right thing to do.

However, In Your situation, Those above circumstances are not applicable, Thus Lying is not right, Visiting relatives is not that important, Certainly not worth risking the life of an unborn child, Your even asking this question proves that, You know what you have to do, You need not have to ask this here.

Is Pregnancy considered a Pre-existing Condition?

We Answered:

I disagree, Federal Law prohibits preganancy from being deemed as a pre-existing condition. However there are many stipulations to that law. HIPPA laws also states health insures cannot consider preganancy pre-exisitng but again you need to do some research because there are diff laws depending on the type of insurance and if you are transferring or coming from no insurance etc... this article will give you a good start.

Also, not sure if you are a US resident / citizen, but there are programs that will take care of you if you are without insurance but if you are not a US resident I don't think they apply.

Good Luck!
