Temp Insurance Cover

Dustin Said:

I have insurance for my laptop that does NOT cover outside of the US. Does anyone know of a temp policy?

We Answered:

sure, but how much do you want to pay for it? See, Mexico is a very high theft situation - you're looking at 50/50 chance of having it stolen during the trip. SO. If you're willing to pay $1500 flat, fully earned, you can get it covered through Lloyds of London, or Great American, up to a value of $5,000 with a $1,000 deductible (you'll need your receipt of purchase).

There's going to be a theft condition - that the laptop remains in your posession the entire trip - so ROBBERY would be covered, BURGLARY or mysterious disappearance (Oh, it disappeared from my hotel room! or Oh, I left it on the bus by accident!) wouldn't be covered.

Billy Said:

what happens when the dealer doesnt give you temp insurance for a used car?

We Answered:

its your job to provide insurance not the dealers you are under the wrong impression

Tony Said:

Can i get 1day temp insurance to drive a car as a new driver?

We Answered:

insurance is local/search auto insurance in your zip code and get the phone working/its not smart to put info of yours on unsecured websites that come up on this system/i.d. theft is tripled in one year

Marion Said:

Temp Insurance Cover, will you get stopped for no insurance constantly?

We Answered:

I think you will find that it will cost you less to just insure it regularly. On the insurance application it will ask how many miles you plan to drive it for work, school or leisure.

Most insurances do not work as pay as you go. You'd have to find one that does and it will cost more. It's probably more for expensive cars that are rarely driven.
