Jeremy Said:

Should i join the army?

We Answered:

You wouldn't be the first mother to join. We put in someone who had three kids a couple of months ago; she said she would rather serve her country to provide for her kids than live on government assistance when she was capable of serving. However, one thing you will have to be prepared for is separations. Your daughter will get medical coverage, meaning you don't have to worry about not being able to pay medical bills. However, you cannot use your daughter to get out of deployments and it is very possible you may go several months or longer without seeing her. If your aunt has full (not joint) custody of your daughter then you're eligible to join. However, what it looks like you don't understand is when you can get her back. You have to wait until the end of your first enlistment to gain custody back. The end of your first enlistment is going to be your ETS date (when you get out) or the day you reenlist (extend your contract so you can stay in longer). Your ETS date could be anywhere from three years to six years after you enlist but the day you reenlist could be as early as your two year mark. If you attempt to get custody back before then you can be released from the Army but if you get custody back on your second enlistment (after reenlistment) you must have an approved family plan. The only way you could get custody back before the end of your first enlistment is if you get married (doesn't have to be to the father), something unexpected happens beyond your control to the person who has custody of your daughter (they get really sick, get sent to jail, etc.), or your commander explicitly gives you permission to get custody back (unlikely unless you're an E-4 or E-5).

I am back packing round Oz what insurance is best??

We Answered:

Yeah, good luck on that.

If your travel agent can't offer you something, you're not going to get something. The problems are 1. you're doing some REALLY high hazard stuff. You're going to have to take the RISK yourself. and 2. you'll be in another country.

Why are people so tolerant of fat people?

We Answered:

I agree with you completely. Smokers get dirty looks and have to huddle off to designated areas - why are we forced to accept obesity as normal? For most people it is a choice as well. I think it's more a case that THE TRUTH HURTS. Obese people don't like admitting they have a responsibility for their bodies. Many people shirk responsibility in many areas of life - and obesity is just one that is easy to see. Deadbeats dads, painkiller addicts, and child molesters aren't recognizable on the street.

Yes I just put fat people in league with sex offenders. BRING ON MY THUMBS DOWN. It's still my opinion and I have a right to it. Obesity is NOT OK.

Make sure to check the policy details, as additional travel health insurance may be necessary when traveling to high-risk countries or participation in high-risk sports, such as skydiving.

Read the policy carefully.
