Pet Insurance Cover

Raul Said:

My dog injured another dog - will my sainsburys pet insurance cover the other dogs vet bills?

We Answered:

Talk to customer service & ask if you are covered under third party liability, as the dog caused damaged to property (dogs are the legal property of their owner).

My policy covers injuries/damaged caused to a human or property, so if the policy is ambiguous ask your insurance provider to clarify the point.

Start on a positive note as if you do expect the claim to be covered "As damage to property is covered on my policy, what evidence would I have to produce to support the claim?"

Bear in mind though that your insurer may take your agreement to pay the bill as an admission that your dog was the aggressor in bite incident & may not renew the policy when it’s due.

Robin Said:

will pet insurance cover a ectopic ureter problem?

We Answered:

Pet insurance isn't true insurance. There isn't a standard form. And it's not regulated.

You're going ot have to read each policy, to see if any of them will cover - and if they DO cover, how much they'll cover.

We Answered:

You can help your cat avoid UTI's by feeding an all canned food and add a little cranberry (found in health stores) in the food. Pre exsitiong is generally not covered. You may want to call and find out if the pu surgery is. this is the surgery to help male cats avoid the uti when they are chronic.

What does cat pet insurance cover in the UK?

We Answered:

I think it depends on the policy, I know my cat's policy covers accidents and sudden on set things but not genetic conditions or easily preventable things like heart worms

Look it up online I'm sure the company's website has all the details

Marian Said:

When should you start your pet insurance cover for a kitten?

We Answered:

As soon as you get the kitten take out the insurance. Any condition that starts within 14 days of the policy start date won't be covered. Also you must get vaccinations as you won't be insured for those illness's if you don't.
