Medical Insurance That Covers Pregnancy

Susan Said:

I'm pregnant and lost my job and medical insurance, what can I do?

We Answered:

You can apply for WIC (medicaid) health insurance, to cover the birth costs. It's based on income, so your income will have to be low enough - and HIS income counts, too.

health-quotes.isgreat.org - try this one. My sister had no problem with her insurance coverage while being pregnant.

Marilyn Said:

Insurance for pregnancy?

We Answered:

I'd strongly recommend you start coverage today, and then test to see if you're pregnant in a few weeks. If you wait a few weeks to see if you're pregnant, and you are..it'll be ten times harder to get insurance.

If you can't afford health insurance, you may be able to qualify for medicaid. The qualifications vary by state, but you can look into it here: http://www.cms.gov/home/medicaid.asp

Good luck!
