You really don't need the coverage. Who would be the beneficiary if you have not dependents and no mortgage to pay off? If you are thinking about having enough to be buried, most companies don't write small policies, sometimes it is cheaper to get a $100,000 policy than a $50,000 policy.

If you have a full-time job with benefits, they usually come with a small $15,000 life insurance policy, which is enough to bury a person.
