Landlord Insurance Cover

Renee Said:

Would my landlord insurance cover?

We Answered:

Nope, once you lose in court, it's too late to submit the claim.

The time to present the claim is NOW. You MUST give your insurance company the opportunity to defend you. Which means, that you have to use THEIR attorney, for the defense part. Although they might be willing to let your guy do it, instead, as he's already involved.

I have no idea how her medical expenses are your fault (lol, probably neither do you) but bodily injury IS covered under landlord liability.

Turn this claim in to your insurance company right now. Oh, and have a talk with your attorney, as HE should have advised that from the beginning. If your company defends you, that means there is coverage under your policy, and they'll pay any judgement up to the liability limit.

Mary Said:

Is landlord insurance which covers liability for people injured on property available in the US and how much?

We Answered:

it certainly is, it is usually part of your Homeowners' Insurance. Surprisingly, the liablity portion of homeowners' insurance isn't all that expensive.

Dan Said:

Will my Landlord's Insurance cover this?

We Answered:

No, this will be covered under your comprehensive insurance. The only way the landlord would be liable for paying is if he knew the tree was a hazard and in imminent danger of falling, and despite having this knowledge refused to do anything about it. And even if that were the case, by parking near a tree that you knew was dangerous, some of the blame is yours.

Dianne Said:

Does my renter's insurance cover my landlord's belongings?

We Answered:

His insurance should cover his belongings - not yours. You cannot be held liable for his things unless you cause the damage.

The only thing you should be doing is alerting the landlord that there has been strange activity and you are concerned for the security of his belongings.

Paul Said:

laptop stolen from car - will landlord's home owner's insurance cover it? auto insurance doesnt...?

We Answered:

The most qualified people to answer this question are the people your landlord is insured with, NOT people at yahoo.
Why not ask them and be done with.
