Policies vary, but I have had several calls from Gieco to replace lost keys. They only pay up to a certain limit, though and it is not near enough to totally cover a Volvo. Also I understand they will only pay if the key is made by a locksmith on site, not for dealer replacement.

Doubtful. Go to the dealer with the VIN number and proof you actually own the vehicle (under new laws you MUST be the owner) and they will make you a new key. If it's the key with the chip you'll have to tow the car in so they can reprogram the computer to recognize the chip.

Full coverage does but you'll have to pay the deductible. It might be cheaper just to pay it out of pocket and have no claims on your insurance.

who told them about the key/should have told them that the key was an extra stolen from your key ring /house or when car got washed etc/gotta start thinking on your feet
