With life insurance, if you buy $10,000 of coverage, it pays out $10,000. If you buy $5,000 of coverage, it pays out $5,000. The older you get, the less healthy you are, the more it costs. It's quite possible that buying a $10,000 policy on each of them, could end up costing you $125 a month, or even more. That adds up pretty fast.

Plus, you can't do it, without their knowledge, consent, and cooperation.
