Clifford Said:

Insurance not covered for non cosmetic surgery?

We Answered:

You can easily check your minimal health care rates in internet, for example here - healthquotes.awardspace.info

Roland Said:

Insurance? Cosmetic surgery.?

We Answered:

None of them.

Because only the people who wanted to get breast implants, would buy it. There's no "sharing of cost" between people who USE it, and people who DON'T use it.

That's how insurance works, sharing cost between a lot of people who don't file claims, and a very few people who do.

Tony Said:

Only if it's restorative, such as after a mastectomy, or to repair birth defects such as cleft lip/palate.

Priscilla Said:

What insurance covers Cosmetic Surgery??

We Answered:

there is no policy for cosmetic surgery. medical insurance programs will only cover cosmetic surgery if someone has suffered from a disfiguring accident or disease...and even that is very limited. i think you have to just save up for it, sorry.

Mae Said:

Insurance for cosmetic surgery?

We Answered:

You won't find one insurance company that will cover anything that is not medically necessary.
Insurance is based on 'no-loss, no-gain' provisions and is for people who need it (ill-health, burn-victim, accidents, etc.).

Insurance is not for people who just want to change who they are because they don't like themselves.

In addition, if you do have cosmetic surgery and there are complications that arise from it, you would likely be declined short-term disability benefits if you missed work, as well.

Kelly Said:

does anyone know of a good health insurance, that can cover cosmetic surgery?

We Answered:

There is no medical insurance that would cover an elective cosmetic surgery. Period.

If you can't afford it, don't get it done. Your other options would be to take out a loan or finance it on a credit card.

(Though in the tightening credit market, it might be difficult to get a loan or financing for that purpose.)
