It doesn't surprise me though, they don't cover my antidepressants either, about 150 a month. I don't even know why I have health insurance, waste of money.

And to first post, talking to friends and family isn't the same as talking to an objective person trained to help you resolve your problems, the problem with psychiatrists is that they are often too quick to prescribe medicine when in a lot of cases the problem could have been resolved by therapy.

IF you had insurance a month before you were admitted to the hospital, then yes, it will be covered. If you were not insured at the time of admittance, then it will not be covered. There are no tricky formulas here - either you were insured or you weren't.
