Insurance In Australia

Alberto Said:

What is the best pet insurance in Australia?

We Answered:

In my opinion, most pet insurance in Australia isn't very good. It won't cover routine vet visits for preventative stuff (eg vaccinations), has a long list of exclusions (things which aren't covered), eg pregnancy related problems and caesarians (I assume this is important to you as a breeder), inherited diseases (like congenital eye problems, heart disease and hip dysplasia), and usually has a maximum payout of only a few hundred dollars, which won't cover much. Some won't cover animals over 10 years old (which is when you need it most) and some will only cover you for their vet of choice (which may not be your usual vet, or someone convenient for you to see).

I strongly suggest getting a copy of all the policies available in your area, and reading the fine print, especially the exclusions. Then work out how much it will cost you, and whether you think it's worth it. If it were me, I wouldn't bother - I'd put as much as I could afford into a high interest savings account, and use that for pet insurance instead.

Comprehensive car insurance australia?

We Answered:

Thats not right<<<<<above answer>>>>>>> You dont need to be a member of NRMA to have car insurance they are 2 seperate things.

When shopping around for Insurance people seem to go for the cheapest price, a major factor to consider is Value for Money.... what your getting with that price..

Obviously the smaller compananies can offer a much cheaper rate they have less staff to pay but when it comes time to claim its either all done via their website or they have limited opening hours ....and no one to talk to ...

Choose wisely =)

Can non-residents get comprehensive car insurance in Australia?

We Answered:

yes you can get comp insurance for ur car even if u are on holiday visa....the insurance u are getting with rego is comp third party((((Ctp)) which only covers injuries ...it does not cover liability to other cars.....so you have two options...take thirdparty insurance which will cover liability to other cars and property if u are at fault and premium is very small
other option is taking comp car insurance in which ur car is covered for everything like damage to ur car other cars and properties and even if its stolen

Is it a criminal offense to not have car insurance in Australia?

We Answered:

Here in the state of Western Australia, when you pay for your car's registration every year you get basic insurance included,ie third party personal. So you're legal, but with almost no cover. You are liable if you hit someone (and it's your fault), for their car or property. If you don't have the necessary cover then they can sue you and they will win.

I'm with Western QBE and they aren't bad. I have heard E-bike is the cheapest. Look for one that has riding gear cover as well. If you stack your bike, your are going to have to replace your helmet, leathers etc

What is the best insurance in Australia for 2 houses, 2 cars, 1 home and contents and landlord insurance?

We Answered:

Probably worth seeing a broker with that little lot, they may be able to get you a better deal ...and that way they do all the running round, not you.
