They probly will not go to court if they know you have no money. Collection agencies always threathen to do that to scare you.

Call the collection agency and see if you can make monthly payments to them no matter how long it takes. I know someone that paid for 20 years a small amount every month. The insurance company was happy to even get that.

damage due to sump pumps, sewer backups...etc are never covered under a homeowners policy, regardless if its a landlord policy or not.

Nobody will - because people don't usually want to buy it, unless they're going to use it. Family law is generally considered the 'dregs' of the legal profession. No one is ever happy with the results, and no one ever wants to settle - so that incurrs MAJOR legal expenses.

You can't sell a policy for $250 and pay out $25,000 to more than 50% of the people. There isn't any "risk sharing".

Yes, you can take out a SEPARATE policy just for the iPhone ...

In fact, I'm VERY SURPRISED that you were not offered a mega-expensive rip-off Policy when you purchased the phone ....


PS If you had 2 policies that covered the same thing, each insurance companies would be quite happy to take your premiums but when it came to claim, each would say it was the other companies problem (and neither would pay out ..)

I'd tell 'em you're not satisfied with the way your claim is being handled. They may not have realised that the solicitor is poor. Apart from anything else, if they want a report I'd expect them to arrange it, not you!
