Travel insurance flat out doesn't cover stuff that's already wrong with you. So right, no one will insure you for any accident/injury relating to these seizures you have several times a week.

I'd also suggest an uncontrolled epileptic with seizures 2 - 3 times a week, probably wouldn't be allowed on a long flight to Greece, on an airplane.

Unfortunately there is no set time limit for liability to be resolved, although ultimately if it is not resolved it will be passed on to each insurers' solcitors and then if it still isn't resolved it could go to court. This is unlikely though.

When you took out your insurance you should have been offered legal cover on your policy (you wouldn't have been under any obligation to take this, but it would be with a company like HelpHire, Angel Assistance or AI Claims Solutions), they would deal with all the hassle of travel expenses, hire, loss of earnings and uninsured losses, like claiming your excess back if the other party is found to be at fault.

Having worked for several insurers I can say that it is unlikely that Churchill are chasing the other insurer every day. It is likely they will have written to them when you notified the claim asking them to write back with regards to their stance on liability. They will likely set diaries to chase this every week or so.

There is nothing to stop you from chasing the other insurance company if you have the other driver's registration and policy details. This may push them to try and resolve the liabilty issue a bit quicker although bear in mind that they may still be waiting back for details from their driver before they can proceed. Either way you should be able to find out what the delay is.

If you have home contents insurance your best bet is to add the items onto your police as either Specifified Items awayy from Home OR get the whole lot covered for an adequate sum eg £1000 cover away from home, in the 2nd scenario ensure the single article limit (which is the max you can claim for any 1 item) is sufficient.

Failing that call up the insurer for the travel tour group and see if they can add your items onto the policy.

The whole point of insurance is to cover the unavoidable and unintentional. Their cover is based on risk. It's a form of reverse betting. They are not going to cover something that is more likely to happen because of things that you CHOOSE to do.
I do not think you will find the cover you are looking for, so all I can suggest is that you read the small print in any that you pick- the section on exclusions and limitations is what you are looking for.
I did Faliraki totally sober a few years ago- it was great except for a few drunks....
