Get Cover Car Insurance

Maxine Said:

Totaled my car and my insurance company will no cover car rental?

We Answered:

You are not being ripped off. There are a couple of companies that include car rental in their policy but most do not. I have been an agent for years and everytime I offer the coverage to someone they always turn it down. I quit offering and include it in my quote. Under an insurance contract if your vehicle is stolen, after so many hours they will provide you with a rental vehicle. It is to late now but it would be a good idea so go in and review your policy. Make sure that you go over all of your coverages and ask your agent about any additional coverages that may be available.

Joyce Said:

Will an insurance company cover a car registered in a different state?

We Answered:

Yes, Probably but it does vary from company to company. Not all insurance companies are licensed to do business in all US states. Do you know that since you are a full time college student living away from home while attending school that you may legally use your parents address as your official residence with most Auto. insurance companies?

Janet Said:

Can i get a courtesy car cover separate to my insurance?

We Answered:

A courtesy car if yours is in the shop? Why not simply choose a shop that furnishes a free loaner? Then you don't have to worry about a rental/courtesy car

Luis Said:

Will my insurance cover car damage if...?

We Answered:

In most US states, if you give somebody permission to use your vehicle, and they are not a regular user, both you and the driver are covered.

If they damage your vehicle, and they have Collision coverage of their own, their insurance MAY cover your vehicle. However, this is doubtful. If you have Collision coverage on your vehicle, then your insurance will pay for the damage to your vehicle.

If the driver of your vehicle is injured, they may have a claim against the other party involved in the accident. If you have PIP or Medical Payment coverage, then the driver is entitled to this coverage under your policy. If they drivers is at-fault, he is simply barred from recovery. He has no direct claim against you.

If the other party is uninsured or underinsured, it depends on your policy and the driver's policy as to which coverage is primary. In some states, these coverages follow the person, not the vehicle.
