Emergency Insurance Cover

Ricky Said:

pet insurance emergency cover?

We Answered:

Nope. Anything that happens outside a policy is considered preexisting, and no companies cover preexisting conditions.

Think about it: if everyone who's pet got sick or hurt went and signed up for pet insurance, it would quickly bankrupt the companies! They're not just gonna give away free money to everyone who needs it :)

However, you might want to think about insuring your cat for any future incidents!

Dennis Said:

How do I know if I'm covered for emergency airlift insurance?

We Answered:

It will tell you in your policy document but when you take out insurance specify that you want this cover.

In the UK we find Virgin Financial Services give the best comprehensive cover for that sort of thing and always use them. They are not the cheapest. But we believe the best value

Jerry Said:

If you are diverted to a non-network hospital in a medical emergency is it law that insurance has to cover?

We Answered:

I don't think so-at least not in my state (but it could be different where you are).

They might have been trying to tell you that it would have been against the law for the non-network hospital to refuse to provide treatment...that's the only other thing I can think of.

You might try calling the hospital where she had the baby and see if they can give you any information about if they have had this situation happen before-they would likely know the law about non-network insurance coverage as well.

Discuss It!
