Broken Winshield?

You need comprehensive insurance to get this replaced by insurance. Another thing; price is not the deciding factor in replacing glass. If it's cheap it means that you'll be replacing the roof in a few years due to rust. As if they do a close cut or full strip. If they answer close cut, walk away. This means that they only remove the least little bit of the old caulk to bond your new windshield on. It causes rust to form where the class sits. This is expensive to get fixed. Another is the use of improper adhesives and primers to hold the glass in place. It means that the glass will pop out if the airbags go off or you roll over. Both mean serious injuries for you and the passengers.

You see where I'm going with this? Do some research and find someone that certified by the NGA or with ISO. The amount of money spent to get this right will be well worth it.

Can anybody tell me if my insurance will go up..?

We Answered:

Glass claims do not usually affect your rates, but if you have a $250 deductible you will have to pay that for both vehicles. Your $250 deductible is per claim. Being that 2 cars were damaged, you would have to make 2 claims and pay a total of $500. You can get a windshield replaced on most cars by a glass company for about $300 or less each. I would get a quote to by a glass company to replace your windshields. If it comes out to that amount, then it isn't even worth making a claim for the extra $100

State Farm Windshield Replacement?

IT DEPENDS ON YOUT POLICY. DO YOU HAVE COMPREHENSIVE INSURANCE IF YOU DO THEY SHOULD COVER THE COST MINUS YOUR COMPRHENSIVE DEDUCTABLE (USUALLY MUCH LESS THAN COLLISION DEDUCTABLE).
