Does Insurance Cover Therapy

Caroline Said:

Does health insurance cover speech therapy when it is advised by a doctor?

We Answered:

Insurance only covers speech therapy for children if there is a repaired birth defect or acquired problem (i.e., vocal nodules or traumatic brain injury).
Every state in the US (it's federal law) has an early intervention program, which is free of charge. Speech and language delay has a potential impact on education, so intervention is provided through the schools.
You can ask your child's pediatrician to refer you, or you can request (in writing) a speech/language evaluation at your neighborhood elementary school.

Jeff Said:

Does insurance cover therapy?

We Answered:

Depends on what insurance you have, but normally insurances cover any therapy up to a point. I have Capital Blue Cross and I pay 45 dollars every week to see my therapist and I've been diagnosed. I've a few insurances, but sometimes the place will find you help, as in maybe get you on medicare to cover the rest of the cost. They can also put you on payment plans. So, it really depends on the insurance your talking about. Plus, you could call the number on the back of the card and ask how much they cover and how much you pay. I made that mistake once of not calling thinking that my insurance covered it all.

Vernon Said:

Does medical insurance cover therapy?

We Answered:

Medical Discount Plan
ideal for those who cannot afford or qualify for traditional health insurance. The companies offer discounted health services for a quite low monthly fee. Benefits include a range of discounts for doctors, hospitals, dental, vision, prescriptions, vitamins, as well as other health services.

Individual & Family Health Plans
This is a major health insurance plan for individuals and families. If you are looking for comprehensive long term health insurance coverage for yourself and/or your family members who are 62 years old or younger - this is the plan to choose.

Short Term Medical Plans
This plan is ideal for individuals in transition. Maybe you have just graduated from college and are no longer covered under your student health insurance or you moved out on your own, and you're no longer covered under your parents' medical insurance plan. Or perhaps you're employed part-time, going to school, leaving home for the first time, or even retiring early. Maybe you've found a new job, but your new employer's group health insurance plan won't kick in until you've been with months.

YOu are not the only one who met this problem,I have met this type of problem before.I have good experience here    www.HealthInsuranceIdeas.info    to solve my similiar problem.

does insurance cover therapy for bulimia?

We Answered:

most insurance companies acknowledge eating disorders now. as long as this wasn't pre existing
prior to getting your current insurance. the only way they could prove pre existing is if you were actually treated for it and used another health insurance plan.

your family doctor should know if they accept your insurance.

Does WI. state insurance cover therapy?

We Answered:

Depends on which plan you have.

And even if it does, the WAIT for a welfare accepting therapist will be a VERY long time.

You can probably do better, talking to the pastor of your church. They ARE trained in grief counseling.

Jerry Said:

Does insurance cover therapy/counseling?

We Answered:

You could always look up your plan or call the insurance provider. That's the only way to know for sure. As for looking for a provider, you can Google it or look in a phone book. You can always ask what kind of insurance they take. Good luck!
